What is it?
California Children Services is a program providing medical and certain ancillary services to children with specific disabling, handicapping or other chronic conditions when parents are wholly or partially unable to pay for such care. Eligibility for CCS is based on:

  • Age (birth through the 21st birthday);
  • Residence in a county (family must demonstrate its intent to reside in California);
  • Income (under $40,000 adjusted gross income for a family of four);
  • Medical condition
    Any child enrolled as a plan member has already met the age, residence, and financial eligibility criteria.
